Turnipseed, Duane Rades, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vilas Rades of Shawano, Jerald Gueths, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Gueths of Shawano star route; William Schultz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Schultz Sr., of Shawano; Harold Hanson, son of Mr, and Mrs. Thomas Hanson of Underhill; Alan Day, son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Day of Wittenberg: Wayne Sickler, son of Mrs. Ruth Blanquart of Wittenberg, and Kenneth Dick, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Dick of Keshena.
Rades, Gueths, Schultz, Hanson and Day enlisted for four years in the air force and Sickler and Dick joined the army for three-year enlistments.
