Shawano Has History Wins State Award!
We are sharing exciting news, the Wisconsin State Historical Society has selected the Shawano County Historical Society and Leadership Shawano County as the recipients of the 2026 Board of Curators Public Program Award for the Shawano Has History program.
The Public Program Award is an annual honor presented by the Wisconsin Historical Society that recognizes Wisconsin organizations, individuals, or groups that have launched an exceptional or innovative public history program in the preceding year.
We want to thank everyone involved in making the Shawano Has History program a public success; the Shawano Historical Society Board, Leadership Shawano County Teams, City of Shawano, BID, Shawano Community Education, and all the sponsors that donated to the plaques.
